FESTIVALS & FIESTAS

The calendar of festivals opens in April with the festival honouring Saint Mark.

Next, in late August comes the festival dedicated to the Virgin de Salud, in the hamlet of Los Madroñeros, on the last Sunday of August, and lastly the festival of pilgrimage of Nuestra Señora de los Angeles, the best- known local shrine, which congregates pilgrims from throughout the district on the 7th and 8th of September.
